Carpetbag Steak
  • For each serving:
  • Thick rump steak (at least 4cm)
  • 6 fresh oysters
  • Seasoning
  • Oil
  1. Trim any extra fat from the steak. Cut a pocket through the side of each one and stuff with oysters. Hold the opening closed with toothpicks or small skewers.
  2. Season both sides of the steak and let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill and brush with oil. Cook on high heat on each side till brown. Lower the heat and cook until done the way prefer.
  4. Remove the skewers and serve.
