- 1 onion
- 1 rasher bacon
- 1kg mince
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- pinch pepper
- 2 tbls tomato sauce
- Finely chop the onion . Chop the bacon.
- Mix the mince, bacon, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Shape into a meatloaf and put in a greased baking dish.
- Spread tomato sauce over it and bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour.
- Remove from the dish and use the pan juices to make a gravy.
